What does the role involve?The Duty Manager is responsible for leading a team including Team Leaders, drivers, and freight handlers to deliver against agreed budget and performance outcomes.
In addition, the role will oversee and manage an extensive agency network across the northwest ensuring commercial and performance targets are met.The role of the Duty Manager is to provide clear direction, accountability and collaboration across facility processing teams in alignment with business objectives.
Day to day will see you:Actively develop and foster a capable support and team network to ensure commitment to facility objectivesManage allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to enable achievement of facility objectivesBe the topic matter expert in relevant area of responsibility to ensure operational and customer needs are aligned with delivery of high service qualityLead change and innovation within teamsDrive new cultural practices, systems and processes that support desired changeManage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including managing customer relationships in collaboration with commercial and customer service teams, as requiredAssist and identify opportunities for service and efficiency improvement within the facility.Analyse daily facility activities to identify processing control issuesUse various data mediums to manipulate, Analyse, and present data for continual processing improvement What experience will you have?We're looking for candidates that are motivated and able to bring the best out of people under their leadership.
