DSHS TIA Sr IT Project ManagerThe Department of Social and Health Services Technology Innovation Administration is committed to delivering exceptional patient care through innovative technology solutions. We are seeking dynamic and experienced IT EHR Clinical and Revenue Cycle Managers to support Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and optimization projects. This role will work across the Behavioral Health Administration, Department of Developmental Disability Administration and Technology Innovation Administrations and align with HHS Coalition EHR program activities.As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of EHR projects across the organization. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that the EHR system meets the needs of the organization. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in IT project management, healthcare systems, and EHR. This position will report directly to the DSHS EHR Sr. Program Manager within the DSHS Technology Innovation Administration.This job is in Olympia and is currently 100% telework based, although allows for mobility as you interact with staff at campuses throughout the state. Be prepared to use your project management and business reasoning, interpersonal, and technical skills as you help lead our modernization efforts that transform healthcare in WA State.Some of what you will do:Lead the end-to-end project management of EHR implementation and optimization projects.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.Collaborate with clinical, operational, revenue and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data security standards throughout the project lifecycle.Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans, and resolve issues as they arise.Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and senior management.Oversee the training and support of end-users during the EHR implementation process.Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.Required qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Systems, Project Management, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management AND seven years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in the information technology business analysis or project management.ORAssociates degree in information technology or related field AND nine years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in the information technology business analysis or project management.OR11 years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in the information technology business analysis or project management.ANDConcurrent of five years of experience as a project specialist with large technology projects, with specific expertise in clinical EHR implementations.Demonstrated record of successful project scheduling of large scale, high visibility projects with multiple business and technical stakeholders.Experience in Microsoft Office tools (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio and SharePoint).
