The Australian business is undergoing a period of exponential growth, following a run of successful PPP, D&C and EPC and O&M tenders in the major transport, renewable energy and building sectors. Bouygues Construction Australia has successfully delivered the NorthConnex project in Oct 2020. Currently, we are constructing Melbourne Metro and WestConnex projects and a number of large scale solar farms across Australia.
The Role The Drafter will be responsible for providing technical designs and plans to the Project Engineer to assist in the achievement of the Project.
Key responsibilities Prepare detailed design drawings Prepare additional post-tensioning detailed drawings to assist clear interpretation by construction personnel Provide on-site supervision on all contracts designed by the Company and also contracts with special qualities. Provide detailed design drawings and advice, as necessary, on special site problems that may arise during the course of the contract. Approve tendon extensions if within set limits. Prepare final design drawings for the Company's final design contracts. Maintain drawings registers / transmittals. Calculate tendon profiles and extensions. Keep up to date with Australian and overseas developments in both CAD and manual drafting. Produce preliminary design drawings suitable for feasibility studies. Provide some day-to-day answers to technical enquiries about the company products and services. Enquiries may need to be referred to an Engineer. Produce marketing material such as drawings, slides, brochures etc to be used as displays. Qualifications and Experience Skilled in use of AutoCad Able to visualize ideas in three-dimensional form Accuracy, neatness and patience in drawing work Some artistic talent in freehand drawing Able to translate instructions into drawings This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and play your part in building Australia's future.
