The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Diversity Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.
Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and share in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view.
Key focus areas The Diversity Teacher position requires:
An understanding of contemporary pedagogical approaches for primary years learnersKnowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning AreasKnowledge of a variety of online and multimedia programs to support student learningAbility to make content meaningful to students at different levelsA natural aptitude and drive to work with and within a collaborative team environmentWell-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skillsA willingness to learn and a commitment to your own professional developmentThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to:
Promote meaningful and age appropriate learning for all studentsMaintain safe and inclusive learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plansWork collaboratively to plan and implement school programs with a diversity perspectiveAssist the classroom teacher in identifying and prioritising vulnerable studentsAssist and support Case Management processes and implement strategies that derive from themModel inclusive teaching practices in order to build the capacity of classroom teachersWork collaboratively within the learning space to build the capacity of students to participate and succeed in regular classroom activitiesPerform specific tasks as directed by the principal and their delegatePlease respond to the above selection criteria in your cover letter. The Organisation Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP's Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
