Reporting to the Chief People Officer, we are looking for a well-established collaborator in the Diversity and Inclusion field to work with us in order to coordinate and drive the implementation of the Institute's Athena Swan Action Plan including the development and submission of the associated Cygnet awards.
Some of your key focus areas will include: Working with the Chief People Officer and Gender, & Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity (GEDI) Council to deliver the Athena SWAN Action Plan and tabling other key initiatives for Board and Executive approval, then drive the implementation of those specific GEDI initiatives and objectives across the organisation.
Studying the structure, objectives, and outcomes required to meet the Action plan requirements.
Collating, drafting, and editing information from various sources to meet requirements for each stage of the awards supporting the completion of the Athena Swan Action plan and submission of the Cygnet Awards.
Developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders within the institute to support the completion of the Athena Swan action plan.
Developing and participating in reference groups, surveys, steering committees, and other forums to gather data or disseminate information.
Implementation of those strategic initiatives and objectives and embed these successfully across The Kids.
Conveniently located in Nedlands, this role will be offered on a full-time basis for 12 months initially with the possibility of an extension.
About You We are looking for an experienced and accomplished Diversity and Inclusion professional with a tertiary qualification in HR or Business Administration and/or significant experience/achievements regarding diversity and inclusion.
The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following: Extensive current knowledge of diversity, inclusion, and equity practices, trends, and insights.
Proven experience working with passionate stakeholders from a range of backgrounds and experiences to drive change, build commitment, and facilitate decision-making.
A high level of communication and relationship-building skills, including managing cross-cultural communication.
Strong computer & data analysis skills.
Possess the ability to self-direct with the aptitude to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility and capability to perform well in ambiguous situations.
