Working with participants on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will positively engage people with various physical, mental health, and cognitive disabilities, contributing to making a meaningful difference by building their capacity with daily living, and confidence in accessing the community and within themselves.
Roster
Our service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are opportunities to pick up additional shifts up to 76 hours a fortnight.
What you will be doing Aiding with daily life activities at home (meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning, etc).Personal Care (including showering, prompting, and physical support).Some high personal care and manual handling are required.Supporting medical appointments.Medication administration.Supporting individuals with their educational and work-related endeavors.Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities.Assisting with transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements.Who we are looking for: NSW Drivers license (can be on Green P Plates) and comprehensive car insurance are required for the role.Possession of a valid NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Check is necessary.Holding a current First Aid Certificate is also a necessary qualification.Previous experience or qualifications in disability of young adults or aged care are desirable but not mandatory.Even Better: Certificate III or IV or studying towards a course in Disability, Allied Health, or equivalent.In return we offer:
