Your Part in the Connections Team
GSL provides 'Adulting' programs focusing on life skills development through the transition from school to adulthood, work readiness for school leavers with disabilities, and community access for children and young people with disabilities. Soon we will be expanding into new areas, including social programs for children and young people with goals of enhancing social skills, fostering creativity, and building confidence through engaging and meaningful activities.

In this role you will:
Engage in community access activities with children and young people on an individual or shared arrangement. Facilitate and lead small group activities that support social, recreational, and life skills development. Co-design and implement programs based on your interests and expertise, such as cooking, photography, art, languages, music, gaming, or other areas of passion. Build strong, supportive relationships with participants to encourage their growth and development. Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure that each program meets the needs and goals of our participants. What You Bring A strong alignment with our values and mission. Certificate III in Individual Support or a willingness to enroll and study. Experience or a strong interest in social, recreational, and wellbeing activities and flexibility in your work schedule. Availability to do shifts outside school hours, including weekends. Availability to work at least 15 hours each week. Excellent literacy skills for writing case notes and comfort navigating IT systems (all client records are online). The ability to maintain confidentiality, self-organization, and attention to detail. What We Need A current Disability Worker Screening Clearance Card & Blue Card (Working with Children) before commencing work. Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS 2). Mobile phone. Current unrestricted Queensland Driver's Licence and insured vehicle. What We Offer Starting remuneration at SCHADS award Level 2 (dependent on experience), plus superannuation.
