The work area This position plays a key role in leading and providing advice on state taxes and royalties, including forecasting and examining GST grant revenue and distribution to drive favorable outcomes for the State. You will work closely with members within your team, Treasury Executive, other government agencies, and the Treasurer, as well as Revenue & Intergovernmental Relations Directorates across other States and Territory Treasuries.
The opportunity We are looking for a leader with strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia. Reporting to the Assistant Under Treasurer Economic, the Director Revenue and Intergovernmental Relations is responsible for working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to provide high-level strategic policy advice and options on federal financial relations, and state taxes and royalties, including the GST distribution. This position is pivotal in supporting the engagement of the Treasurer, the Premier, and Treasury executives in intergovernmental forums, whilst empowering, engaging, motivating, and leading multi-functional teams.
