About Cadia Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney.
Cadia produces gold bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit.
The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.
We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees.

About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a values-led leader who will play a key role driving strategic and tactical HR initiatives as well as identifying future and current training programs including delivering on people leadership capability development framework.
You will have the ability to personally make a significant impact through transformational and organisational development programs working partnering with the centralised HR Teams, Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition.
Reporting to the Head of People - Australia, you will bring your exceptional business partnering skills and commercial acumen to a role supporting a dynamic operational environment.You will partner with leaders to guide Newmont Cadia's operations and work alongside a collaborative HR team who are committed to upholding the Newmont Values.
The position is a residential role based in Orange, NSW and relocation will be provided to the right candidate.
About You In this role, you will possess: Problem Solving: Ability to analyse complex information, identify trends, and make effective decisions.
Proficient in system development, hypothesis testing, and determining causes within a given field.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HR management, industrial relations, organizational design, performance management, and IDE (Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity) initiatives in heavy industry, mining, or manufacturing environments.
Skilled in labor relations, collective bargaining, and safety & health processes.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in leadership coaching, data analysis, project management, and employee relations.
Experience with resourcing, onboarding, dispute resolution, and training development.
Your strong stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration and team leadership will put you in good stead for this role as will your ability build relationships, resolve conflicts, problem solve with a continuous improvement lens and foster a safe, inclusive team environment.
