Management - Schools (Education & Training) Full time Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School conducted in the Lasallian tradition, with an enrolment of 2,200 students, boys Years 7 to 10, co-educational in Years 11 and 12.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced applicants for the following position: Director of Teaching & Learning Commencing as soon as possible in Term 1, 2025 The Director of Teaching & Learning (DTL) plays a pivotal role in advancing academic excellence at Oakhill College.
Reporting to the Principal and Assistant Principal Curriculum, the DTL leads the College's strategic vision for research-based pedagogy, driving professional development, and managing NESA teacher accreditation requirements.
The DTL fosters a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring educators have access to contemporary educational research and are supported in implementing consistent, effective classroom practices.
By enhancing the Oakhill Learning Framework, the DTL promotes academic rigor and empowers students to achieve optimal learning outcomes while addressing the evolving needs of modern educators.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the key areas listed below: Design and lead induction programs for new teachers, introducing Oakhill College's distinctive academic programs and pedagogy.Develop and oversee professional development programs, including partnerships with universities and whole-school initiatives grounded in contemporary research.Drive teaching excellence by embedding effective teaching and learning practices and supporting classroom observations and feedback.Collaborate with leadership teams to shape the academic tone of the College and align practices with strategic goals.Promote a thriving academic culture through innovative strategies that enable students to excel.Provide expertise on educational research and pedagogy, informing decisions for continuous improvement.Support teacher accreditation at all levels, ensuring compliance with NESA requirements and guiding career progression.Manage the Professional Learning budget and align professional development activities with strategic priorities.Engage with the community through newsletters, parent presentations, and initiatives that enhance understanding of the College's learning model.Lead professional learning committees, identifying staff development needs and delivering targeted programs to foster a culture of growth.The successful applicant will: Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School;Adhere to the College's Safeguarding Standards and Child Protection policies and procedures;Teach with excellence, professionalism and commitment;Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College;Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence;Be an experienced, innovative, and engaging team member;Have the ability to relate to both girls and boys, with practical knowledge of boys' educational issues and initiatives in the foundation years (Stages 4–6);Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence.The appointment is for an initial period of up to 3 years, renewable by mutual agreement.
