Director of Professional Learning - Wahroonga Prep School Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney's North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. ABOUT THE ROLE The Director of Professional Learning at Wahroonga Prep School is a permanent full time role which forms part of a K-12 team focused on enhancing the teaching and learning capability of the Knox academic community, with the goal of ultimately improving student outcomes. The Director of Professional Learning will identify, plan and lead the professional development needs of the academic staff including supporting candidates undergoing accreditation. Key Responsibilities Develop a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth Identify the learning needs of the academic staff and work with teachers to set and achieve their goals Capture data for evaluation and teacher development purposes Support teachers through the teacher accreditation process Maintain current legislative awareness of teacher accreditation requirements and guidelines, communicating them effectively across the school community Support the School's NESA Registration process, including the submission of relevant materials Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and inspire teams In collaboration with other stakeholders, establish the appropriate evaluation frameworks and measures to determine the effectiveness of learning solutions relative to student outcomes Qualifications and Experience Experience in leadership and embedding pedagogical development within a K-6 school setting Previous experience implementing initiatives, delivering projects and strategically managing change A comprehensive understanding of the NESA standards and their application within a primary school Demonstrated experience in successfully overseeing teacher accreditation The ability to demonstrate and inspire the educational application of contemporary technologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Why join Wahroonga Preparatory School?
