Director of Orthopaedics, Queensland Health Full time, Part time, Permanent, Casual/Temporary
The Orthopaedic Department at QEII Hospital are looking for a Director of Orthopaedics to join their team. It is a split role comprising a Permanent part-time Senior Medical Officer (0.625 FTE) and a Temporary part-time Clinical Director - 2 years (0.375 FTE) - 1 FTE total. The Orthopaedic Department at QEII Hospital is a busy unit, dealing with general orthopaedics and has a major commitment to lower limb arthroplasty and general orthopaedic surgery. Local Medical Officers refer patients from the local area as well as from other areas in SE Queensland where appropriate services may not be readily available.

About the Role To manage and provide orthopaedic specialist clinical care to patients.To assume overall responsibility for the delivery of specialist services in Orthopaedic Surgery and assist with the delivery of those services.To work within and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure hospital resources are aligned to optimise access to safe, high-quality orthopaedic care for Metro South patients.To provide professional leadership within a specialist medical area and provide training, education and supervision of junior medical staff and other health care members.Find out about the role in more detail and how to apply in the attached Role Description.
