Just a comfortable two-hour drive from Longreach, you will be located in the administrative centre of the Barcoo Shire, in the town of Jundah.
Whilst there you will experience the best of outback living and be just a hop step away from iconic events such as the Big Red Bash and the Birdsville Races.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Corporate Services will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of assigned services and programs under the Council's Corporate and Operation Plan, and its Long-Term Financial Plan in accordance with Council policies and legislative requirements.
Your effective leadership will see you lead the directorate in setting clear objectives, fostering a positive and proactive working culture, and motivating staff to achieve higher performance.
You will be CPA qualified, or in a related field, with at least three years of experience in an executive or senior management position.
The successful executive will bring a solid managerial, planning, and organisational background from working in complex environments in a local government setting, implementing governance and financial and risk management frameworks across Council.
