Wunderkind is looking for the MarTech industry's brightest and best sales talent to join us in Australia for the next phase and evolution of our growth journey.
Having built a good foothold from our office in Sydney, we're now looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Director of Business Development to push our growth in Australia to new heights.
Reporting to the Country Manager, as Director of Business Development, you'll spearhead the new business function in close alignment.
You'll have the close support of a dedicated Business Development Associate, who you'll be trusted to mentor for mutual success.
You'll be instrumental in not only managing the deal flow, but also identifying opportunities and helping to forge strategic relationships.
As a retail-focused business who works with 650+ retailers globally, we're looking for someone who is experienced in dealing with ecommerce leaders.
You'll need to be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and understanding what is truly important to both their businesses and their individual KPIs.
Key Responsibilities New Business Growth: Develop and execute a robust business development strategy that aligns with the client goals and our own Wunderkind roadmap. Communication: Communicate how Wunderkind's offering drives revenue, what our competitive advantage is, and why it is worth the investment. Strategic Partnerships: Build, foster, and manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders to drive mutual growth and revenue. Market Research & Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
Use these insights to craft impactful go-to-market strategies. Sales Pipeline Management: Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiations, ensuring a consistent and predictable revenue stream. What We're Looking For Proven Track Record: 5+ years of business development, sales, or strategic partnerships experience with a proven history of closing high-value deals and delivering revenue growth. Entrepreneurial Spirit: You thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and take ownership of your success. Strong Negotiator & Communicator: Exceptional ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and communicate the value proposition effectively. Strategic Thinker: Capable of seeing the bigger picture while diving deep into details when necessary. Personality: Proactive hunter with a consultative approach. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Australian ecommerce market and its key players, trends, and opportunities. Builder: Someone who can thrive as an individual but is open to building out a department that you can lead.
