Director, Government Engagement
Full-time TemporaryDetails: Property and Government Insourcing is a customer-driven organisation with Community and Government Engagement as the main access point to ACT Government, community, and commercial clients.
This position is vital to ensuring that Property and Government Insourcing understands and delivers services to meet or exceed customer expectations. As the Director, you will be responsible for managing the team to provide the first point of contact for customers, acting as the tenancy manager and coordinating with other teams in Property and Government Insourcing and Government to provide solutions to customer problems. The group also provides day-to-day management of buildings under management, lease or licence, liaising with building owners and advising on service improvements.
This position manages a team that provides a centre of excellence, offering advice and guidance to the organisation and executive on property and customer management for a portfolio encompassing ACT government, community, and commercial tenants.
The position also oversees the team to acquire or provide new sub-leases and the issuing of leases and licenses over managed properties.
As the Director, you will be required to manage government and non-government accommodation planning, including analysing and reporting on occupancy, maintaining the ACT Government Property Register, and participating in inter and intra-government committees.

Expertise and experience in commercial property leasing is highly desirable for this role.Note: This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is based in an activity-based working (ABW) environment. Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
