QTC is seeking a forward-thinking Director of Portfolio Governance and Performance to lead the delivery of high-impact initiatives across our Advisory Division. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with senior leaders to shape strategy, enhance performance, and ensure strong governance across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Within QTC, the Advisory Division provides a range of financial and risk management services to help State Government, Local Governments, Government Owned Corporations, education institutions, and statutory authorities to make well informed decisions about the services, initiatives, policies, and projects they deliver. The shared purpose of the Division is to improve the social and economic well-being of Queenslanders and the financial sustainability of the State.
The Portfolio Governance and Performance team sits within the Advisory Division's Portfolio Office. We support the delivery of client services by ensuring alignment with QTC's strategy and risk framework, monitoring performance, and providing operational support to client-facing teams.
As Director You Will
Lead the execution of divisional strategy and operational plans Oversee governance reporting, including high-quality Board and committee papers Drive continuous improvement and performance across the division Manage risk and compliance activities Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Mentor and develop a high-performing team
As a Strong Leader You Will
Inspire and guide teams to deliver complex projects with clarity and accountability Champion continuous improvement and operational efficiency Identify and mitigate organisational risks with sound judgement Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, including Board-level reporting
You Will Make An Impact By Bringing
Proven experience in governance, performance, or portfolio management Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Experience preparing Board-level materials and driving operational effectiveness A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Governance, Business, Finance, Law) Public sector or consulting experience highly regarded
