As a global powerhouse, Meinhardt is revolutionizing the industry with cutting-edge solutions in Property and Buildings, Infrastructure, and Energy.We are driven by a passion for innovation and excellence and, as a leading global engineering company, we are committed to using our core engineering and design expertise combined with innovation and digital transformation to transform industries and enhance the lives of our customers and communities.Founded in Melbourne and with a history dating back almost 70 years, we now work across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific, and we are part of the global Meinhardt Group with headquarters in Singapore, 55 offices and 5,000+ staff around the world.Position PurposeThe position entails:Business Development and Client Engagement:Identify and win new work, with KPIs for creating opportunities and converting them into projects.Maintain strong market connectivity with a client-centric approach.Develop key strategic clients and secure repeat business.Promote and sell Meinhardt's capabilities in the market sector.Project Leadership and Delivery:Act as Project Director for selected projects, ensuring successful delivery and client engagement.Focus on commercial considerations and high-level project oversight.Team Development and Management:Mentor, coach, and develop staff, fostering a culture of professional growth.Recruit a balanced technical team for flexibility and capacity.Lead technical innovations and align with industry best practices.Business Operations and Financial Management:Oversee day-to-day management, including financial processes and P&L responsibilities.Identify areas for operational improvement and drive innovation.Collaborate with key sector leaders to enhance business performance.Strategic Contribution:Stabilize and grow the facade business in Australia.Contribute to the overall international facade strategy and technical development for Meinhardt Group.Participate in strategy discussions after an initial familiarization period.Skills and Experience:Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering or Science discipline is required as well as substantial industry experience within the sector.Membership (or eligibility to be Member) of a relevant national or international accreditation body.Registration (or eligibility to be registered) in relevant state's professional engineer register for the building/construction industry.Proven industry experience in the various technical aspects of consulting with emphasis on successful delivery of projects, including identifying project risks, problem solving, communicating issues and delivering solutions.CultureOur Employees work in an environment where initiative is encouraged, and excellence is rewarded.
