We're looking for a Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team at TEDxMelbourne.
Role OverviewThe Social Media Manager's main goal is to manage and enhance our online presence across various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
This role requires a deep understanding of content management, scheduling, and strategy.
We're recruiting for multiple individuals to share the load across channels.
About the team:The Marketing Team looks after the promotion of TEDxMelbourne, encouraging the community to attend our events (both physical and virtual) and engage with each other.
We ensure the TED brand comes to life via interesting content, publicity, social media, and brand partnerships.
Commitment:This voluntary position entails a commitment of approximately 1-3 hours per week, which may increase during event periods.
About youYou are a creative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for social media and digital marketing.
You have a knack for creating engaging content and a deep understanding of social media trends and analytics.
Experience you'll have:Proven experience in social media management and content creation.Proficiency in using social media platforms for brand promotion and marketing.Knowledge of social media analytics software to track performance and engagement.Experience that's a plus:Experience within the TEDx community or similar idea-sharing platforms.Experience working within a volunteer organisation.In your first three months, you will…Develop and implement a social media strategy.Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas and strategies.Long term you will achieve…Experience delivering a flagship event to the Melbourne community.Gain valuable experience and contribute to projects of your choosing.Influence the direction of the organisation.If shortlisted, we will arrange a video interview to learn more about you and discuss the role, suitability, and next steps.
