Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Feedlot is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility.
The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality.
Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW, being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region) ensures the ability to source high-quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef.
The Feedlot has a capacity of 53,333 head, employs approximately 60 team members, and has a strong reputation for producing award-winning grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Daily, weekly and monthly scheduled maintenance activitiesDiagnosis, testing and review of mechanical faults on various feedlot plant, vehicles and equipmentRepairs of faulty mechanical equipment including dismantling and engine assembliesUtilising equipment competently to perform maintenance and repair of equipmentProvide recommendations to ongoing improvement of equipment and machineryMaintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligationsLiaising and collaborating with team members and supervisors in an effective mannerAbout you:Previous experience in a similar roleEvidence of a Mechanical Trade QualificationEffective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to meet deadlines and goalsStrong work ethicAbility to work as part of the team and individuallyIf you're passionate and want to be a part of the largest meat, pork and salmon manufacturer and producer in Australia, this opportunity may be for you.
