Your Role
Reporting to the Workshop Managers, you will be part of a medium-sized team of Diesel Mechanics working together to repair, maintain, and service various heavy vehicles. Tasks include: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic & fabrication duties. Other duties are to:
Receive job flow schedules and liaise with the team to complete jobs on time and accurately Problem solve, diagnose, enhance, and maintain equipment Work on new equipment and servicing contract maintenance jobs Report any challenges or delays to Workshop Managers as required Prepare detailed parts orders as required Maintain all aspects of heavy vehicles; diagnosing, overhauling, repairing, tuning, and testing vehicles Schedule preventative maintenance services and breakdown fault diagnosis Operate hand and power tools Attend training as required Ensure WHSE documentation is maintained and adhered to Keep up to date with relevant legislation About You
The successful person will have a sound employment background as a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic in Heavy Bus, Truck & Trailer Mechanic (or equivalent), whilst being punctual, reliable, and a go-getter.
Highly desirable experience includes: Wheel alignment, Hydraulic fit-up, Crane operating skills, Forklift licence, HR/HC/MC licence, and Qualified EWP Operator.
