About Our Client: Our client, located in Mackay, QLD, is seeking 4 experienced trade qualified Diesel Fitters to join their Mackay Operations Team for a 3-month initial engagement with potential to extend on a rotating day/arv 9-day fortnight roster.
About the Role: The primary focus of this role is to support the product sold through the Company by diligently carrying out service maintenance, repair and recondition jobs of earthmoving machinery as directed to a satisfactory standard of quality workmanship and in a timely manner.
Your duties will include but are not limited to: Perform maintenance, repair and recondition jobs on all equipment sold and/or serviced by the Company as directed by Leading Hand or immediate supervisor.Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications.Research and use the correct and latest parts and service information systems to order parts, as well as a guide to correct disassembly/assembly details.Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship assuring quality in the finished product.Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur. This is to include check sheets, quality control procedures and guidelines for reusable parts.Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times.Determine reusability of all disassembled parts.Research to ensure that the latest or improved parts are fitted/used on each job.To be successful for this role you will need the following: Certificate III in Engineering.Minimum three to five years' experience in a similar role or equivalent.Valid 'Class C' Driver's Licence.Desirable tickets:
