The role of Development Manager is to provide technology architecture guidance to Jetstar Core Services and Platform squad (delivery team – majorly vendor driven) by interpreting requirements from business stakeholders and converting them into technology deliverables for the teams. This position involves managing a team of six Software Engineers from vendor community, providing guidance, reviewing the technology outcomes for quality assurance purposes and ensures the outcome of the delivery is fit for purpose. In addition, you will be working with Product Owner and business stakeholders to understand the product requirements, provide input into the product roadmap, and provide technology options to deliver the product according to the roadmap.
You’ll have –
Solid career experience in software development, testing and architecture specifically from an integration background.
Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional agile teams from inception to release.
Strong people management experience, directly leading and influencing teams.
Strong knowledge of development practices such as TDD/BDD, CI/CD, test automation, pair programming, etc.
Extensive experience in architecting and implementing RESTful APIs following REST best practices guidelines
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques, and automated testing frameworks and tools such as JMeter, ReadyAPI etc.
Previous experience using application lifecycle management tools such as Atlassian product suite.
Strong focus on building a devOps culture within the team and across the enterprise.
Expertise in various AWS service offerings like SQS, Kenesis, Lambda, API Gateway etc.
Strong background in integration services development using Java/Spring and NodeJS programming language.
