We are seeking a professional and student-centred leader to join the CSHS leadership team as our Deputy Principal - Junior Secondary in 2025.
Charleville SHS is located approximately 750kms west of Brisbane in a vibrant rural community. Our school boasts quality facilities, a strong student population and a dedicated and supportive community. We offer a range of curriculum opportunities for our students and are also a registered RTO providing a wide range of certificate courses for our students.
Charleville itself offers a range of activities including cafes, gyms, restaurants, squash and tennis courts, team sports and opportunities for social interaction with regular local race meets.
About the Role Charleville State High School is seeking a dedicated and professional leader to join the current CSHS Leadership Team in 2025.
As the DP-Junior Secondary, you will have the opportunity to lead years 7-9. Leadership of PBL will be core to the role in partnership with a year level coordinator.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. Deputise for the Principal when required. Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. A mandatory requirement of this role is :
Current full registration, or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
