The facility plays a fundamental role in the pastoral industry of Northern WA, with the capacity to hold over 17,000 head of cattle at any one time. RED is utilized by exporters and livestock agents for live export markets and domestic transit cattle, operating under strict environmental and animal welfare standards.PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Depot Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operations of the Roebuck Export Depot, overseeing livestock welfare, biosecurity, compliance requirements, staff, and financial management.ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIAExtensive experience in livestock management.Extensive experience in running a live export depot and/or extensive experience in the live export industry.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage staff, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.Experience in operating relevant machinery.Financial management skills.DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIAAny formal certification e.g., TAFE certificates, first aid, white card.Knowledge of Yawuru culture and Country.Experience in working with Indigenous people.APPLICATION PROCESSApplications should be sent electronically to ****** including a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and your CV.
