About your opportunity: In this position you will effectively lead and manage the Dental and Oral Health Therapy team to provide a high level of clinical care, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes and efficient service delivery throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS). Contribute towards strategic, operational and resource management in line with Hospital and Health Service planning and state-wide priorities for Dental and Oral Health Therapy and provide professional support to staff and clinical practice supervision.
About your role: Demonstrate management expertise, knowledge and skills obtained through experience, formal qualification(s), higher education or professional development.Responsible for the day-to-day operational management for Dental and Oral Health Therapist teams across the Cairns District.To participate as a member of the Management team through Committees/working parties and ensure that the Dental and Oral Health Therapy Service delivery is integrated into wider area Oral Health service objectives.Demonstrate high level of advanced clinical knowledge and experience to deliver clinical services in an autonomous work environment and provide professional advice to staff across the Cairns Oral Health Service.Possess the ability to identify, develop, implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives or health promotion activities that enhance service delivery and quality outcomes for clients and staff.Provide clinical advice and authoritative counsel to relevant stakeholders on matters falling within area of professional knowledge, expertise and responsibility of Dental and Oral Health Therapy.Collaborate with senior management, staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective cooperation within and across work units to enhance service delivery, quality outcomes and client services for Cairns Oral Health Service.As a Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employee, not only will you receive competitive remuneration, you will also have access to:
