Details of the offer

The Body Shop
When Anita Roddick founded The Body Shop in 1976, she had a vision. Business as a force for good – that's us. Over 40 years later, we're proud to be pioneering cruelty-free beauty every step of the way. We're the original ethical beauty brand. We've got a thing for empowering people and enriching our planet. We're all about keeping it real, in every way possible. Our activist roots remain a huge part of everything we do, from our iconic window posters to our vegetarian products to our infamous campaigns. We're never afraid to stand up and speak the truth. We like to do things a little differently around here.
The Body Shop is committed to generating positive economic, social and environmental impact. We're fighting for what we believe in now more than ever. No holding back. Breaking the mould has always come naturally to us, and we need someone who's not afraid to mix things up.
Your role in a nutshell With a new global owner and CEO at the helm, exciting transformations are underway at The Body Shop! We're ready to revitalize our iconic products and unleash innovative ideas that have yet to be imagined, ensuring we're back to our very best. In Australia, The Body Shop is undergoing an exciting period of transformation. We are looking for a proactive, commercially driven Demand Planner who will play a critical role in driving our supply chain strategy and supporting our multi-channel business. This role is central to our demand planning, inventory management, and business alignment as we strive to meet our growth aspirations.
More about the role Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting & Business Phasing: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts that align with the business cycle, particularly for peak sales periods. Maximise forecast accuracy while minimising forecast bias. Ensure demand plans are strategically timed to meet business phasing needs, new product launches, and promotional activities. Commercial Demand Planning: Apply a commercial perspective to demand planning that results in replenishment orders reflecting market trends and business requirements. Optimize stock turns within our distribution centres (DC) while maintaining a balanced and risk-tolerant approach to stock coverage. Multi-Channel Inventory Management: Consolidate demand forecasts across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels, while mapping the unique dynamics and demand patterns of each channel. Provide clear visibility on demand drivers across these channels, ensuring synchronized inventory management and seamless replenishment. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders, including Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), Marketing, Product and Operations teams, to ensure the demand plan aligns with wider business objectives. Manage relationships with The Body Shop's offshore operations and logistics teams to support inventory availability and factor those into the demand planning. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to provide insights into demand trends, sales forecasts, and stock levels. Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, using IT tools and demand planning software to support data-driven decisions. Support Business Growth & Transformation: Support the ongoing business transformation and growth by implementing best practices in demand planning and inventory management. Assist in restructuring initiatives by aligning demand planning strategies with broader business goals. What we look for Qualifications: Strong commercial acumen, with experience balancing demand plans with inventory needs, stock turns, and risk tolerance. Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or wholesale environments. Advanced proficiency in data analysis and IT systems (e.g., demand planning software, ERP systems, and Excel). Ability to consolidate demand views across multi-channel platforms and work with the nuances of each channel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams. Experience working in a dynamic and evolving business environment, with a strong track record of supporting growth and change.
