We are currently on the lookout for a passionate Delicatessen Shop Assistant for our supermarket based in Calala. The suitable candidate will need to be available to work Monday to Friday from 4PM to 8PM.
Key duties and responsibilities will include: Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure adequate stock levels are always available within the Delicatessen department; Ensure that the delicatessen cabinet is attractively stocked with an appropriate range and that advertised lines are highlighted and maintained during the advertised period; Ensure that stock and fixture price marking and ticketing is of the highest standard; Ensure that the stock storeroom is adequately maintained in a clean and tidy condition: Control rotation of stock in the cool room and in the sales area; Monitor stock quality and appearance at all stages from receipt to sale and ensure that only stock of the highest quality is offered for sale. Assist in prompt mark-down action to clear deteriorating lines; Inspect delicatessen deliveries before accepting stock to ensure that quality is of the highest standard; Any other ad hoc duties that may arise; Assist the delicatessen manager with all required tasks. Experience and Qualifications Required: 1+ year experience within Retail Supermarket (preferred, not essential); Experience working in Deli (preferred, not essential); Customer service experience; Ability to multi-task when required.
