About the Role
The Dean Teaching and Learning leads a state-wide team of Principal Lecturers and Academic Administrators to develop and deliver innovative training programs to meet the workforce needs of industry and community.
Reporting to the Executive Dean, Academic Development, you will collaborate closely with other Deans, the Chief Executive, TAFE SA Board, Corporate Directors and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, sustainable, and high-quality training programs.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide leadership, authoritative advice and mentoring across TAFE SA on matters relating to quality teaching and learning practices, for optimum student experience.
Lead and manage Teaching and Learning Specialists and lead broader networks of Principal Lecturers across Educational Units to ensure quality teaching and learning practice is embedded across TAFE SA.
Lead and manage quality and self-assurance practices including the Quality Education System and facilitation of self-assurance workshops that support continuous improvement across Educational Units.
Lead and manage the Product Development Team responsible for development of new training product aligned to organisational and government priorities.
Lead and convene governance activities such as the Academic Integrity Reference Group, Principal Lecturer Network and the AI Taskforce.
Lead, Establish and Maintain Educational Product Development Standards and Frameworks, including Digital Learning, Accessibility, Academic Progression, Quality assurance, Artificial Intelligence and guide risk management and continuous improvement in these areas.
Lead Teaching and Learning reporting to governing committees including the TAFE SA Board, TAFE SA Executive Committee, Academic and Quality Committee, Academic Governance Committee and Higher Education Academic Board.
