See more at our website -?www.atsichsbrisbane.org.au About The Role As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Deadly Choices Program Officer is expected to contribute to the shaping and achievement of ATSICHS vision and goals.
The DC Program Officer is responsible, as part of a small team, for the delivery of school and community based health education, promotion and prevention activities; in line with the Regional Action Plan and the Deadly Choices and Smoking Cessation Procedures Manuals.
Conduct a range of workshops and support activities for ATSICHS staff, to improve tobacco cessation screening and intervention practices and processes.
Duties Delivery of the Deadly Choices Program Delivery of Further Preventative Health Activities.
Delivery of Activities to support Community and Clinics.
Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.
Delivery of CCHS Staff Training Workshops Clinic Processes.
Relationship Management.
Information Management.
Safety.

Benefits Base salary of $66,805 per annum.
11.5% Super + access to salary packaging (Increases your take home pay).

COVID-19 Requirement Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged.
Required Certificate IV or above in Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care – Community Care or equivalent.
Interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and liaise with clients and members of the community general and technical staff in the provision of professional quality client service.
The ability to work with other health professionals and organisations.
Demonstrated ability to deliver health promotion programs, with experience in community engagement activities.
Demonstrated understanding of the health social and emotional wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Demonstrated commitment to maintain a healthy lifestyle and engage and encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to commit to lifestyle change.
Current C Class Drivers Licence (Qld) and an ability to travel across the designated region as required.
Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
Preferred Experience working in Healthy Lifestyle or similar Health or Community engagement/development programs, is desirable.
Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
