What you'll do
Lead the design and testing of engineered solutions for optimal performance outcome, safety and cost efficiency within the Supply Chain
Manage and maintain our internal Distribution Centre (DC) Design Standards
Identify and define and refine detailed Distribution Centre (DC) processes to enhance and support new and existing Supply Chain initiatives
Partner with internal & external stakeholders to develop & embed fit-for-purpose DC Design solutions, e.g. Safety, Transport, Operations, Project Management, Property, Maintenance & Store teams, material & equipment vendors
Lead client scope confirmation sessions, conduct gap analysis, and manage scope changes with documentation and escalation as needed.
Lead reviews with key workstream leads including engineering peers, and operations; may include presentation to senior leaders
Oversee equipment installation and commissioning, including any necessary problem solving / testing of automated material handling equipment
Communicate effectively relevant project information to leadership and customers
What you'll bring
Proven experience in warehousing, production, and manufacturing operations
Knowledge of warehouse / manufacturing facilities & supply chain network design principles, material handling technologies, pick methodologies, work measurement, labour management, and slotting.
Experienced in Safety-in-Design principles and their application within operational environments
Strong problem-solving skills and expertise in root cause analysis.
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating solutions clearly.
Effective stakeholder engagement skills, fostering support and advocacy without formal authority.
A functional understanding of AutoCAD is desirable
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution is highly desirable
