Mathematics, Statistics & Information Sciences (Science & Technology) Nuage is currently seeking a talented Mid-senior Level Data Scientist to join one of our dynamic clients in the retail sector.
This role offers exciting opportunities to work on impactful projects, helping retailers optimise their business operations using data-driven insights.
Responsibilities: Analyse large datasets to derive actionable insights for retail clients, optimising store shelf space to identify the most profitable product ranges.Build Customer Decision Trees (CDTs) to help businesses gain a deeper understanding of customer behavior.Generate reports on sales performance, inventory management, and marketing strategies, providing data-backed recommendations for improved business operations.Collaborate with consultants, software engineers, and clients to design and implement data-driven solutions.Develop and implement ETL data pipelines and automated procedures to ensure scalability and efficiency.Utilise statistical methodologies and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and drive innovation.Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience in a data analyst, reporting analyst, or data scientist role, preferably in the Retail/FMCG industry.Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and experience with Power BI or Azure ML.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on validating statistical methodologies.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
