Data Engineering & Operations Lead

To be successful in this role you will have:Written and oral communications skills including the ability to negotiate, consult and liaise with business, technical and supplier personnel on complex and technical IT issues and to develop and present reports, submissions and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.Thorough understanding of Business Intelligence as well as other aspects of reporting/analytics as applied within an enterprise organisation.Demonstrated experience in implementing devops practices, including cloud automation, supporting and maintaining Azure DevOps functions such as CI/CD, ARM and pipelines.Development experience, designing, developing and supporting various data technologies, e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, MS SQL Server, Azure Synapse, SSIS and DBT.Experience with the design and implementation of Kimball-style dimensional data models.High-level of interpersonal skills and Microsoft Azure data engineering or related certification.Demonstrated experience implementing Synapse and DBT solutions within an enterprise environment.Experience in data engineering and business intelligence in the context of the financial services industry.Understanding of insurance concepts and the FINEOS claims management system.Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, IT or other related field, or an equivalent level of work experience.Demonstrated understanding of ITIL v3 Framework including, but not limited to, Problem and Incident Management, Change Management and Service Level Management.Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage multiple and competing activities including leading or directing the work of other technical team members as required.If this sounds like you, please apply today.
