Summary: We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a Redshift Data Engineer to join our Sydney team. On offer is the chance to work on a range of exciting projects, supporting our clients. Flexible hybrid working arrangements available. Key Responsibilities: As an Amazon Redshift Data Engineer, you will have superior knowledge and high effectiveness in engineering complex system and platform implementations in the Cloud. You will identify and develop automation opportunities and apply automated build/delivery and continuous integration practices in complex environments. Always looking ahead, you will ensure your solutions fit into the bigger picture and the long-term strategy. About You: Primary Skills – Amazon Redshift, AWS Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology Excellent knowledge/experience in the application of Agile and Lean approaches Strong SQL background, with the capability to write SQL with a performance mindset, troubleshoot performance, mentor and train other staff Deep understanding of databases, data storage and data movement tools including how to optimize development & approaches aligning to best practices Experience working with Amazon Web Services and Cloud-based services (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). Previous exposure to technologies like Database Migration Services (DMS) and Redshift is highly desirable Good customer management and written & verbal communication skills Team player with a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills Insurance domain experience is an added advantage If this full-time job motivates and inspires you, please contact Cognizant today.
