We're ready to help you do it.The Purpose:The Data Architect plays a pivotal role in transforming AP+ into the leading-edge digital payments firm for Australia. This is a critical role in driving the organization's data strategy and enabling advanced analytics capabilities. It spans across both agile product teams and waterfall project teams across the business, ensuring that the data architecture aligns with business needs, technology possibilities, and regulatory requirements.Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities: Translate business requirements into viable technical solutions for the data management of our payment solutions. This involves working with both agile product teams and waterfall project teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse and understand business needs, and translate these needs into architecture and design requirements. Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the data pipelines. Provide data governance to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams in the implementation of the designed solutions. Perform regular reviews of system architecture and design, offering recommendations for improvements or enhancements. Understand, advocate, and support IT strategies, and analyse its impact on the business objectives. We'd love to hear from you if you have: Minimum 7 years of experience in a data architecture role, ideally in the payment industry. Proven experience in designing, implementing and deploying data solutions in an AWS environment. Experience with AWS services for machine learning models and pipelines would be of benefit. Strong understanding of the full technology stack for data management including proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, CI/CD pipelines and Snowflake. Knowledge of data analysis and data visualisation tools such as Power BI. Knowledge of ML based analysis would also be valuable. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the payments industry in Australia.
