Data Architect Hybrid

As an experienced Data Architect, you play a crucial role in complex financial services institutions (FSIs) by developing database solutions, analyzing structural requirements, and designing data models.
Your responsibilities include installing and configuring information systems, migrating data, and ensuring robust data architectures that support critical business processes.
Responsibilities: Data Infrastructure Design:Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs.Design end-to-end data architectures that align with organizational goals.Consider scalability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.Data Modeling:Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models.Define data entities, relationships, and attributes.Optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.Database Management:Install and configure database management systems (DBMS).Ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.Implement backup and recovery strategies.Data Integration:Integrate data from diverse sources (market data feeds, transactional systems, CRM databases, etc.).Security and Compliance:Implement access controls, encryption, and data masking.Ensure compliance with privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards.Cloud and On-Premises Portability:Future-proof data architecture for regulatory changes and operational risks.Design for multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud scenarios.Consider open data formats, common security models, and portable application development.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Proven experience (typically 5+ years) designing data architectures for complex FSIs.Proficiency in SQL, data modeling tools, and DBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Full working rights – Must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident Conquest Recruitment Group - Melbourne, VIC Westpac Banking Corporation - Melbourne, VIC
