The IT team is a team of five with cross-functional support from other departments. You will work together with the IT team and current Data Analyst and report to the IT Manager.We pride ourselves on being self-motivated individuals, always looking for opportunities to improve and deliver high standards.Position summary:We are seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join our team at our head office in Rocklea Brisbane. This is a full-time role, office-based with the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. You will take ownership of the design, development, and implementation of Power BI solutions, providing training and support to employees, and generating data modelling and advanced analytics to enhance business performance.The Empire Office Furniture business has many moving parts, so the ability to multitask and prioritise support would be essential.Key responsibilities:Lead the design and development of BI reporting for multiple business units, including Accounting, Sales, Despatch, and HR.Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop and render reports for mobile applications.Connect to data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence.Implement row-level security and application security layer models in Power BI.Develop tabular and multidimensional models.Prototype, design, and analyse requirements, ensuring business needs are met.Mentor Power Users and other business users in the development and deployment of Data Models, Reports, and Dashboards.Work closely with the IT team and Power Users to perform data extraction and transformation processes.Implement feedback from business users and ensure the dashboard is correctly set up for production environment refreshes.Opportunity to expand the role to include other IT based functions in the future.What we are looking for from you:Experience with design and development of end user reports and dashboards.Experience in the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack, including Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.Experience with Business Reporting and Performance Tracking concepts for Sales, HR, and accounting and other business sectors.Experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects.High degree of accuracy with data management and analytical assessment.Experience with Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other relevant reporting tools.Experience with ETL processes.Experience with Advantage Database Server.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience.Certification in Power BI or Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack is advantageous.What You Will Need to Succeed:Analytical thinker with mathematical and statistical skills.Passionate about solving business problems and connecting with end users.Ability to conceptualize outcomes and relationships between different sets of numbers.Client service-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.Detail-oriented with multitasking skills.Application Process:If you are looking for a new opportunity and possess transferable skills that you could apply to this role, do not delay – we await your application.
