This is an exciting opportunity to join Hyundai Capital Australia (HCAU) during our foundational stages! HCAU is currently the consulting entity of Hyundai Capital Services Korea within Australia. We're in the process of establishing a subsidiary in Australia to provide captive-finance services to Hyundai Motor Group (HMG). HMG is Korea's 2nd largest conglomerate focusing on automobiles, auto parts, finance and more.Hyundai Capital is the financial arm of HMG and the primary goal of its overseas branches is to increase vehicle sales by providing a full spectrum of financial services. We're currently hiring a Data Analyst to ensure that HCAU's financial data infrastructure and quality is maintained and continuously improved with new data management approaches. Working closely with our IT team & global HQ, you'll own and drive business initiatives and projects to empower the CFO and wider Finance team in making key business decisions. As the data Subject Matter Expert for Reporting & Analytics within the finance team, you'll provide the team with documentation and training related to financial data, infrastructure and systems. You'll also manage relevant data infrastructure projects and facilitate the creation of advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.What you'll do:Maintain and augment lifetime profitability forecasting and reporting tools (New Acquisition ROA Analysis Model) to support ongoing product planning in conjunction with the Sales & Product Planning teams.Perform ad-hoc analysis to provide insight into past, current and future expected financial performance (Long Range Financial Plan, Yearly Business Plan, Monthly/Quarterly Rolling Forecasts etc.) on verified datasets to support business decision making by CFO & Leadership Team.Support the finance team on technical/functional queries, including SQL, Power BI and any other evolving technical requirements.Collaborate with other departments to gather input on sales forecasts, funding composition & costs, risk & loss assumptions and investment budgeting.Provide technical support across all Power BI builds completed by the Sales & Operations team offering guidance on model design, ingestion techniques, refresh time, file size etc.Resolve data issues with IT and global HQ communicating any data integrity impacts to the FP&A team and wider Finance department.Strong numerical & data analytics skills with tertiary education in Accounting/Finance/Data Analytics or related industry experience.Proficiency in SQL/Python and Power BI with a strong understanding of data infrastructure, process and visualisation.Advanced Business Intelligence (BI) systems knowledge and Microsoft Office skills.Experience in data mining, analytics, spreadsheet modeling, forecasting and relational databases.Ability to build strong relationships across multiple departments and comfort deal with ambiguity.What we offer you :)A flexible hybrid working environment.Competitive base salary & bonus structure.Access to our Employee Assistance Program.14 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers.The opportunity to build the company from the ground up!A fun and collaborative team with great work life balance.Employee Car Benefit Scheme.HCAU is an equal opportunity employer.
