APS 6 - Cyber Security Operations EngineerOngoing, full-timeAdelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, SydneyPosition OverviewThe position is a member of the cyber security team and reports to the Cyber Security Operations Manager.
The position provides support and technical assistance for the Court's cyber security domain.The role is expected to provide support and technical expertise on a range of cyber security capabilities and development work including:Optimising the performance of current cyber security tools and processes.Supporting cyber security monitoring and management capabilities.Assisting with the planning and implementation of cyber security projects and other initiatives.Identifying current and emerging security issues including trends, vulnerabilities and threats.Monitoring and triaging alerts generated by Court systems.Investigating and resolving cyber security related events and incidents.Monitoring the Court's cyber security protective capabilities in order to detect, prevent or respond to security issues or incidents.Under broad direction, making appropriate upgrades/changes to the Court's cyber security systems.Developing and maintaining technical documentation on the design, implementation and configuration of the Court's cyber security capabilities.Be involved with and to be able to develop, implement and communicate project and other plans as required.Selection CriteriaDemonstrated ability to conduct analysis of logs and alerts from various sources.Ability to create and maintain security documentation such as playbooks and response plans.Ability to create reports and provide appropriate recommendations to achieve security outcomes.Ability to effectively identify improvements with process and technology and implement solutions.Can work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated ability to manage cyber security tools such as vulnerability management, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and cloud technologies.How to applyAs part of your application, you will be required to submit a 2-page pitch along with your resume (maximum word limit 1000).
