The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join the Land 4140 Project.
You will provide specialised cyber security expertise to support the project's mission of acquiring, integrating, and securing key defence capabilities. The Cyber Security Engineer will collaborate across long-term, iterative, and complex programs, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
You will be responsible for developing Cyber Security Management Plans, conducting Cyber Security Threat Risk Assessments, and providing critical security advice throughout the capabilities lifecycle. You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to integrate future capability enhancements and ensure security compliance.
This position requires an active NV1 AGSVA security clearance.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in either Canberra or Melbourne.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Developing Cyber Security Management Plans and Risk Assessments Providing specialist input into System Overview Documents and Security Plans Reviewing and advising on DISP controls and accreditation processes Drafting and reviewing Supply Chain Risk Management Plans (SCRMP) Overseeing system security testing Collaborating with the Cyber Security Cell to ensure governance compliance As the ideal candidate, you will bring:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering (4-year program) Postgraduate specialisation in Cyber Security, Networking, or Computer Science Expertise in providing specialist security advice throughout all stages of a capability's lifecycle Proven ability to solve complex technical and operational problems, ensuring project success Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build effective business relationships A thorough understanding of legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks in cyber security Proficiency in analysing, developing, and implementing work plans to achieve successful project outcomes What we will offer you:
