Security (Information & Communication Technology) Great Southern Bank is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join the Banking and Engineering Platforms team on a permanent full-time basis. As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will detect and respond to Cyber Incidents by working closely with the Security Operations Centre to provide operational support, technical expertise, monitoring, incident analysis and resolution, problem resolution, maintenance, change and configuration, deployment and continuous improvements.This position is located at our Great Southern Bank Head Office in Brisbane CBD, offering you the flexibility to work from home two days a week.Your responsibilities:Investigate alerts from the Data Loss Prevention platforms and work with data owners to identify and respond to threats.Operation of the SIEM platform to rapidly identify and investigate anomalous activity within SLA.Manage Cyber threats and incidents as per the defined Cyber response playbooks, incorporating learnings to improve our overall security posture.Continuously monitor and analyse potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents, and take proactive measures to address them.Conduct in-depth investigations and threat hunting activities on potential security threatsUnderstanding of the evolving threat landscape and attack techniques as they relate to Great Southern Bank.Implementing security controls to protect hybrid IT infrastructure, including Cloud and SaaS Apps.Designing, implementing, and managing cloud security solutions to protect data and applications in cloud environments as well as monitoring and assessing cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and threats.About you:Minimum of 5 years' experience in a large, complex, sophisticated fast paced 24x7 IT environmentAn IT or Cyber Security degree is essential.Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.Professional Cyber qualifications (e.g: CISSP, CISM) highly regarded.Relevant IT Vendor certifications (e.g: Microsoft, AWS) highly regarded.Proven experience with operating Cyber controls, in particular the following would be highly regarded: Microsoft Sentinel, Defender.
