As a customer service officer, you will play a pivotal role in our operations by meticulously processing incoming orders, ensuring seamless communication with customers regarding stock availability and delivery dates, and guaranteeing timely deliveries and accurate invoicing.
To thrive in this role, our ideal candidate will possess prior customer service experience, heavily weighted to phone and email communication. Experience in the Construction / Timber or Warehousing sector is highly desirable. If you are experienced in SAP or Oracle, are customer-centric focused, are a skilled communicator, and adept at fostering efficient and clear customer interactions, then this role is for you.
Your duties will include: Process customer orders via our automated systems Fracking, Click, OCR, EDI (in-house IT systems).Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service enquiries.Use automated tracking systems for freight.Provide delivery ETD's and ETA's.Keep electronic records of customer interactions and transactions.Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.Assist with stocktakes as required.Other duties as directed by the Customer Service Team Leader.Cross-check all details in SAP once through the automation process.Check inventory to confirm the requested product is available.Releasing orders for picking in our cutting program SCIE.Computes prices and any appropriate discounts.Managing backorders.Work in conjunction with production and dispatch supervisors as appropriate.Deal directly with customers either by telephone or via email.Process customer feedback and ensure the needs have been fully met.Respond promptly to customer enquiries.Handle and resolve customer complaints.Minimum Requirements: A minimum of two years' experience in an admin data entry role.A minimum of two years' experience in Customer Service.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.Compliance with all standard procedures.Ability to work without supervision.Ability to handle a demanding and ever-changing environment.Must possess good time management skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong team player keen to assist in all areas as required.Desired Selection Criteria: Qualifications in customer service or warehousing and distribution.A conscientious, self-motivated and proactive work ethic.Working knowledge of SAP highly desirable but not essential.Proof of Australian Working Rights.Current Australian Driver's Licence.National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months old).Ability to pass a pre-employment medical clearance with the Company's provider.At Wesbeam, we value diversity and inclusion.
