About the role - Fixed term contract from January-December 2025, full-time working from either our Brisbane or Toowoomba office
As a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Officer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risk within People First Bank. You will work with our members to verify their identities through KYC process, assess their financial activities, and evaluate potential risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit activities. This role is a crucial support to our AML/CTF function and is a necessary role play to safeguard our members and our wider community.
Key responsibilities include:
Timely investigation and actioning of AML/CTF maintenance, as well as completion of reporting/tasks within a timely manner.
Manage, investigate and prepare responses in relation to maintaining AML/CTF ongoing due diligence.
Maintain accurate records/statistics in relevant internal data systems to assist with reporting requirements and ongoing management of the business.
Engage in a professional manner with members as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need an understanding of the complexities of regulatory compliance and member relationship management. With a large proportion of the role entailing data entry, you bring a keen eye for detail. You take a member-centric approach to all your customer interactions, mastering the art of tactful conversations with careful and considered investigations into suspicious activity. Ideally, you will have experience with customer ID and KYC process. With a flair for tough conversations and the passion to uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance within our bank, you will truly contribute to protecting our members and our community.
