At Cape Dunstans, we are looking to attract and retain talented people who: strive for excellence in everything they doenjoy working as part of a teamare concerned about the environment and countrylike to contribute to the local community and wider charitable interestsCape Crushing and Screening business are currently seeking applications from experienced mobile Crushing, Excavator / Loader operators to join our professional Tropicana mobile crushing and screening team onsite in a 2/1 roster direct from Perth WA or Kalgoorlie, WA.
Your role will see you responsible for: Assisting with basic maintenance and general operation of equipment, including but not limited to: cleaning, inspections, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting, crusher rebuilds, screen mat changes, roller and skirt replacements and repairsIdentifying and removing oversized productsLoading crushers with excavated productPerforming manual labour when required, clearing bogged conveyor belts, shovelling, and any other labour-intensive tasks as requested by the Supervisor/Leading HandEnsuring project execution is undertaken safely to the required standards, quality, and schedulePreparing machines for operation, including through pre-starts and reporting all defects with A, B and C categoriesLoading and unloading equipment from low loaders and moving it around worksitesSelecting, changing and operating special attachments such as winches, scrub clearers, rippers, pile drivers, and rock-breaking hammersWorking under the direction of supervisorsBreaking up rock and similar material by operating hydraulic or pneumatic breakersOperating all mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner to maximize outputMaintaining duty of care for other users and working to site specific safety requirements and occupational health and safety requirementsDaily work plans and forecastsImplementing and following through instructions from Supervisor/Leading HandCompliance with any and all statutory, regulatory, governance, and legislative requirements without exceptionEnsuring production targets are metEnsuring plant utilization is optimized and damage is minimizedMaintaining accurate logs, pre-starts, and timesheetsYou have: 3 years plus of operating Loaders/Excavators in a Crushing and Screening environmentExcavator ticketCurrent Driving Licence - HR (preferred)Construction Safety Induction - White CardCurrent working at heightsHigh risk work license - DG, RB - highly regardedNational Police Clearance - dated within the last three months - applicable and acceptable for a Gold MineWorking Rights Australia (Australian Passport or Birth Cert /OR New Zealand Passport /OR Foreign Passport with valid visa letter)Ability to apply for a National Police Clearance from a provider directed by the end client - results being suitable and acceptable for a gold mine siteCape employee benefits include: Employee Benefits - Corporate Private Health DiscountsPenalty ratesRoster Allowances - FIFO and DIDOProject incentive accrualsFantastic career developmentPermanent contract - with all leave entitlements (leave loading is permissible for blue collar on-ground roles)Job security, ongoing work opportunitiesInternal training and developmentCape Dunstans Supporting a Diverse Workforce
