About The Role:Working at the idyllic location of Anderson Gardens (one of Townsville's three Botanic Gardens), this role will provide field supervision for the delivery of weekly and daily horticultural works schedules across multiple maintenance works programs.
This role provides technical advice to operational staff on practical completion of maintenance activities and works closely with the Team Leaders and technical specialists to identify resource capability and capacity needs.
About You:Our ideal candidate will have:
Certificate III in Horticulture/Parks and Gardens or related fieldDemonstrated experience in the Horticulture/Parks Maintenance industry in a supervisory roleExcellent customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain both internal and external work relationships.Sound problem solving skills with the ability to achieve creative, effective and efficient solutions to challenges and changes.Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD) essential.Current manual "C" class driver's licence (essential).Current unrestricted Queensland "MR" Class Licence (desirable)Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) certified under the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (Part 3 2016).Demonstrated experience with the use of Horticulture/Parks Maintenance equipment.First Aid/CPR/Emergency Life Support Certificate.Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate (ACDC) accreditation.Accredited Chainsaw ticket (Level 2).Extensive experience in general gardening duties.How To Apply:Your application can be submitted through the 'Apply' button.
