The role of the Assistant Accountant is to support with the preparation of monthly accounting entries, manage monthly corporate credit card reconciliation, monthly balance sheet reconciliation and work with a continuous improvement mindset to identify and implement process improvement.
Key Accountabilities Preparation of month end accounting entries for CRG entitiesPreparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances in a timely mannerLiaise with the Commercial Finance team to ensure month end postings are completeReview accuracy of accruals and assist in the preparation of the monthly P&LAssist in the preparation of monthly consolidated reports and board packsUnderstand risk and opportunities on the balance sheetAssist external auditors to complete their annual audit process on timeAssist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts for CRG entitiesPreparation of Wholesale related journals and reconciliationsPreparation of ABS surveysAd hoc reports/duties as requiredKey Capabilities Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or relatedExperience using Oracle, exposure to Futura/Magenta POS advantageous but not essentialStakeholder management, strong communication skills written and verbalExceptional attention to detail and eye for process improvementPrevious experience in retail or similar industry is highly desirableA team player who enjoys collaborating with othersWhy work for CRG?
