About the RoleThis pivotal role will oversee cost estimation for proposals and projects, working closely with all functional areas to deliver accurate, high-quality estimates that support our business development team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge Defence projects with a leading Australian defence company.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and fulfil cost estimation needs for customer projects by extracting accurate data from company systems.Estimate bill of materials and labour requirements based on customer specifications.Ensure cost estimation practices align with Defence/CASG policies (ASDEFCON).Provide financial analysis for projects, including cost-to-complete estimations and reporting.Support the Programs team in understanding and managing project financials.Coordinate with internal stakeholders (supply chain, production, engineering) to meet project timelines and cost targets.Provide value engineering solutions and identify commercial risks.Manage specific tasks or customers as directed, ensuring that bid milestones are achieved.Cost Estimator (Defence Systems)EOS Defence Systems is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our Commercial team within the Programs department.

Key Attributes:Highly proficient in computing skills, particularly with the MS suite (Advanced Excel skills essential).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high attention to detail.Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek feedback or assistance.Experience & Qualifications:Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident capable of achieving AGSVA Security Clearance.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar cost estimation role.Defence tender experience is highly regarded.Familiarity with Defence projects and understanding of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) procedures is desirable.Experience with EPICOR software is highly desirable.Experience in Defence acquisition and procurement, as well as working with Defence-facing or government-facing companies, is an advantage.How to ApplyIf you are willing to take on a challenge and want to contribute to a proud Australian company that is growing rapidly then we would like to hear from you.
