With continual growth and diversification, we are currently seeking for a Cost Controller to join our team in Bibra Lake. You will be responsible for providing financial management support and assistance for the execution of contract works, including production and projects. You will have the ability to work independently and a proven track record of excellent communication skills, both written and oral, enabling you to build a rapport easily with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. Key Accountabilities: Providing financial support to project teams Progress claims and project cost reports Develop and utilise systems to manage the pricing and progress claiming of the works against a rates-based commercial model. Compiling cash flow records, forecasting, and working alongside the Management Team regarding project schedules. Liaise with internal stakeholders and key client contacts in relation to project cost controls. Working with Project Managers to maximise project returns Ensuring that all commercial activities comply with contract terms and deliverables. Manage project accounting activities, including cost control, progress claim and generating project budget and forecasts. Analyse project financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Cost control and analysis of earned value/shortfall. Work together with Project Managers to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting. Coordinate with corporate accounting to ensure accurate and timely project financial reporting. Review and approve project-related invoices, expenses, and payments Prepare monthly management reports and present to senior leadership team. Tertiary qualifications at degree level in relevant discipline. Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) Excellent computer literacy skills. Microsoft packages and financial management systems /databases Solid data analysis. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. High level of attention to detail with strong business and financial analysis skills e.g. CAP expenditures, bank guarantees, cost management, investigation of project variances and reporting. Experience delivering insightful reporting analytics and financial commercial information to manage business risk and opportunities.
