MHS aspires to be a strong, sustainable and recognised health service that builds healthier communities and positive change for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and those who call Roebourne home.MHS is looking for people who want to make a real difference in the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.The PositionThe Corporate Services Manager is part of the Senior Management team of Mawarnkarra Health Service and is responsible for all assets of the organisation; including but not limited to:EquipmentFleet of VehiclesEmployee HousingMHS BuildingsSecurityITThe Corporate Services Manager is in charge of implementing the relevant objectives of the organisation by ensuring that the corporate team deliver a supportive, quality, effective and efficient service in order that the health needs of clients and the community are met.DutiesLeadership and ManagementManage the corporate team staff on a day-to-day basis.Motivate staff to provide service excellence.Oversee the provision of the highest standards of service fulfilling the responsibilities of the program requirements.Ensure that staff are allocated responsibilities appropriately under the programs they work under.Monitor staff performance and manage same.Conduct regular staff appraisals, as per the organization's policy.Identify staff that require support and assistance in fulfilling their responsibilities and arrange for the provision of support and assistance.Monitor and manage compliance with the policies of Mawarnkarra.Promote a collaborative working environment for all staff.Identify staff that may require performance management.Ensure that the professional development needs of staff of the corporate team are met and are consistent with organisational policy.Provide leadership in problem-solving issues that arise.Ensure that staff are appropriate and respectful of clients, visitors, and other staff at all times.Manage the assets of the organisationMaintain and update the asset register.Manage the maintenance of equipment, vehicles, buildings, and housing.Manage the purchase, transfer, and disposal of assets.Ensure all policies and procedures for asset acquisition and disposal are followed.Minimum RequirementsA tertiary qualification in Corporate Services or relevant experience in this field.Motivation to provide service excellence.Demonstrated experience in meeting services/projects objectives with success.Demonstrated capacity to work in a collaborative and consultative manner with all MHS employees.Demonstrated skills in managing and maintaining assets.Excellent oral and interpersonal communications skills.Excellent writing skills.Demonstrated ability to problem-solve issues on a day-to-day basis.Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.Experience in the application of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and other relevant human resource management laws.Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months).Current CPR certificate or willing to obtain.Able to complete regular random drug and alcohol screenings.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.Remuneration Benefits include:Base Salary $53.85 per hour + AllowancesSuperannuation 11.5%You will have access to generous salary sacrificing (pre-tax dollars)Fully maintained vehicleApplicationsPlease send your resume and application form with a cover letter stating why you want the role to SEEK only.MHS may commence appointment proceedings immediately, appoint by invitation or make no appointment at all.
