ABOUT BARWON COAST
Barwon Coast Committee of Management Inc (Barwon Coast) is delegated to manage 19km of the coast along Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula.
This includes the beaches and foreshores of Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, 13th Beach, and Breamlea.
In partnership with Traditional Owners, Barwon Coast's charter is to protect and enhance the natural environment and provide opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy these areas.

ABOUT THE POSITION
As the Corporate Services Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management of Barwon Coast.
Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing robust financial policies, providing clear financial analysis, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and overseeing the strategic direction of IT systems and enterprise risk management.
You will also manage and lead the Corporate Services team, ensuring a positive workplace culture that reflects Barwon Coast's values and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to contribute to the organisation's strategy and goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the Corporate Services team, ensuring a positive, high-performing workplace culture aligned with Barwon Coast values.
Collaborate with leadership to develop financial plans, provide financial analysis, and support resource optimisation.
Manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial stability and success.
Oversee risk management, including identifying and addressing potential risks, and implementing transparent risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including Australian Accounting Standards, taxation obligations, and workplace health and safety standards.
Lead IT strategy and systems management, ensuring secure, efficient, and aligned IT infrastructure.
ABOUT YOU
You are a proactive and solutions-focused leader with a strong financial and regulatory management background, driven by a commitment to enhancing community engagement and environmental conservation.
With proven experience in financial operations, risk management and IT strategy, you bring strategic thinking and strong leadership.
You will have an ability to inspire and develop teams, coupled with expertise in financial analysis, compliance, and system management.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about aligning operational strategies with an organisation's goals.
Your background includes:
Extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning, with a strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams, fostering positive workplace culture and driving high performance.
A proven track record in overseeing risk management processes, identifying key risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure management, ensuring secure, reliable and effective IT systems aligned with organisational goals.
An ability to work collaboratively with other senior leaders, contributing to strategic decisions and driving organisational success.
A passion for working in a community-focused and environmentally conscious organisation.
