In this role, you will be responsible to administer the laboratory's document control and reporting functions, equipment compliance and metal reconciliation and sample return requirements. You will also collaborate with the Coordinator Fire Assay, Senior Development Chemist and R&D team on contractor management, procurement activities and inventory control. Additionally, you will provide general administration support for the Refinery Laboratory.
Your role as a Coordinator Laboratory will involve:
Schedule and administer annual compliance requirements for audit, laboratory equipment calibrations and PM services Manage the review of laboratory operating manuals, JSEA's and competency-based assessments Managing a contractor base through an Authority to Work (ATW) process Liaise with refinery settlement customers on umpires' analysis on completion of the assay exchange process Make and interpret changes to laboratory documents after team review, issue updated copies Assist with coordination of workflow scheduling and other specialised tasks in fire assay Receipt and log external samples for analysis into the Progress database Scan and archive laboratory records, documents, and compliance reports into HPE Content Manager Report results for umpire analysis and ICP base metal scans to service external customers Prepare assay certificate for refinery products in conjunction with Treasury Assist with administering precious metal stock inventory Assist with asset management Assist with procurement activities and inventory control Data entry of external results for sweeps external recovery shipment analysis and reporting requirements Conduct all work in a safe and responsible manner Encourage environmental awareness and promote responsible environmental practices to all site personnel and workers Experience:
Certificate III of Business Administration or Laboratory Skills Previous office administration or assistant role, (preferable) in a laboratory Demonstrated experience in fire assaying (preferable) or laboratory Strong computer literacy Strong planning & organisational skills It's easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don't see yourself as the perfect fit.
